In-Store Signage // Layout Design // Project Management
As an advertising specialist with Quad Graphics, I have had the privilege of working on a diverse range of projects for our valued clients at Safeway/Albertsons. My role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, split between graphic design and project management, each crucial to ensuring the success of our advertising campaigns and in-store marketing initiatives.
Overview of my contributions and responsibilities:
In-Store Sign Maintenance (Vestcom):
My most significant weekly project involves maintaining in-store signs for Vestcom, a vital component of Safeway/Albertson’s retail marketing strategy.
This responsibility entails updating and refreshing in-store signage to ensure it aligns with the latest promotions, branding guidelines, and product offerings.
Vestcom signs are a huge project, weekly anywhere from 600-900 unique versions of signs are sent to the 212 stores in our division. I worked closely with our corporate team to build a script that enables our client to customize store quantity amounts for distribution reducing cost and waste.
Graphic Design for In-Store Tactics:
I play a pivotal role in designing custom window and wall clings that enhance the overall shopping experience for Safeway/Albertson’s customers.
These serve as a dynamic and eye-catching way to communicate special offers, seasonal themes, and key messages to shoppers.
My designs aim to create a visually cohesive and inviting atmosphere within the store. I listen to our client and adhere to brand standards whenever possible, I often look for opportunities to explore color and fun nods to neighborhood and community.
In-Store Tactics and Marketing Collateral:
I contribute to the development and design of various in-store tactics and marketing collateral, including shelf tags, aisle markers, and product displays.
My goal is to ensure that all materials effectively convey the brand's message and drive customer engagement.
I collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure the seamless integration of these materials into the overall in-store strategy.
POS Project Management:
I am involved in the management of weekly Point of Sale (POS) projects.
This role requires effective communication and coordination between graphic designers, production artists, vendors, and our client, Safeway/Albertsons.
I oversee project timelines, ensure quality control, and facilitate a smooth workflow to meet client expectations and deadlines.
Client Relationship Building:
Building and maintaining strong client relationships is at the core of my responsibilities.
I actively engage with Safeway/Albertsons' representatives to understand their needs, preferences, and feedback, which helps us deliver tailored and effective marketing solutions.
